Celebrity Retouch

My main objective for this piece was to make Mike Tyson look younger and have less blemishes and wrinkles. I also wanted to to remove some of the effects of fighting and see what he would look like without a tattoo. I primarily use the spot healing brush, patch tool, brush tool, liquify, sharpen and blur, and dodge and burn. Some of the challenges I faced during this project were matching the colors, replacing areas with the right thing, blending certain areas, and making sure that places were filled with a texture and not just a blur (especially while removing the tattoo. I feel like there should need to be a warning on retouched images. Too many people do not realize that these images are edited and it causes them to act in dangerous ways like becoming anorexic just so they could achieve these unrealistic body standards that are set by the media.
